I ate a 3 muskteers for dessert because its the only one low in points. lol. I'm sick. (7 pts!)

I'm big into February this year. All I can think of is pink, red, hearts and stuff. What the heck? Typically I don't really care for the month. I see it as kinda eh.. But some years I'm all into it. I'm a weirdo, what can I say?
When I saw the Feb Challenge for Scrapbooker's Anonymous I knew I was going to join in. Hello!3 hearts and stitching. Heck ya! Only problem was I really really did not want to make another Valentine's card. I have 3 already. I'm good. More than good.

Instead I decided to alter something. I've been into that kick for the last week or so. So here it is. I made a cute Valentine themed altered notebook to put in my purse. I love it!

I had most of these things on hand. I cut out the fabric hearts with fabric I had and sewed them on a piece of white and black heart'd fabric I had. The only thing I bought was some cute Valentine fabric sticker things from Joann's last week. They were on sale 50% off and well they are cute. Here's a pic of the supplies I used.
The little altered book came from Target. I don't know if they still have them there or not.

Tonight I made shrimp grits as it is hubby's favorite. I like it too, but its alot of dishes to clean up afterwards so I don't make it often. Also the boys won't touch it. I took the boys to Chuck E Cheese this morning so they were happy. Its been a nice pretty even busy day. Got my weekly groceries at the Super Target and I always love that.

Tomorrow will be the gym as usual and maybe some light thrift shopping. Though honestly I don't need anything. I'm not seeing how I'm going to be getting any Mardi Gras decorations done after all. I just don't know. I haven't been motivated to go buy what I need. Mainly I need alot of purple, gold, and green fabric. *sigh* I don't wanna. I might be a big slacker when it comes to this it looks like.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Groundhog saw his shadow huh? 6 more weeks of 80 degrees. Nice. :)

Another week goes by and I didn't get a whole lot done other than my project life page. I'm really enjoying it. This week I added some fun stuff that I normally would have probably not saved. I have the picture Leo drew and he wrote his name on it. He did it all on his own for the very first time. I was so impressed. :) It also has a little photo collage I made with a new digital kit I got. I have to admit I am kinda missing my digital pages.

I had to white out a places on each photo that had personal info on it. Thats actually why I haven't shared my geneology album book I made. I'm kinda debating about that. It has my mother's maiden name on it of course all over it and I'm not sure I want to show that to everyone ya know? Its almost impossible to white it out on all the photos too. *sigh* I'll have to think about it some more.

I also last night whipped out some homemade curtains for our bathroom. We had a big window in there with just the film on the window so you couldn't see in. I liked it like that. Hubby wanted curtains on it to "black it out". He doesn't like it sunny in there. So I agreed I would do that for an extra drawer space. haha Instead of buying a curtain, I just made one last night real quick with some vintage fabric I already had. Nothing fancy. It took me 20 minutes. It was nice to use what I had though and once I finally get around to decorating that bathroom I'll probably change it. I want to eventually paint that bathroom a sea blue color. Right now its a peachy tan color I dislike greatly. I've not been in the mood to paint walls at all.
Here's the curtains.

I am getting ready to go to the gym, then I hope to get some stuff done around here. Maybe some crafting! Gosh I've been saying that all week. I also have a few blogs to catch up on. I did put my Etsy store back up on Etsy. Its up and running. I want to get back into doing some stamps and maybe something new to sell in there. I want to start cleaning out what I have currently.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend.

Serious headache that is sinus or lack of caffine caused. :(

I've not been crafting. I hope I get to tomorrow. I figured I'd show you what I'm obsessed with the last few days.

Okay number one: I had a 10 dollar gift card to Victoria Secret. I have no idea how I got it. I've had it forever. I checked the balance online then went into the store. I didn't want to spend much money, so I got this 12 dollar spray, Sheer Love . I'm now obsessed with the smell. They really have some nice smelling spritzing sprays. This is the most beautiful springy/love scent. It says its white cotton + pink lily. LOVE.
Yes those are my make up brushes and the bowl I keep them in I found it at a thrift store for a dollar. I thought it was so pretty. It has sand in it to hold the brushes up. I think I'm going to take one of my mini misters and fill it with this scent to put in my gym bag to use as a travel size. I love mixing craft stuff + beauty stuff.

Last night for dinner I decided to make something a little bad, but not too bad. Its a grilled cheese avocado bacon sandwich. OH MY GOD it was good. 15 points. I used kraft cheese slices (2), 1/3 avocado sliced, 2 strips of bacon, one tablespoon light margarine, and two pieces of high fiber/whole wheat bread.
I don't know if you all  have saw that are into digital scrapbooking, but there's a site that Lauren turned me onto and its having a special February sale all month. There are dollar kits and elements and new deals every day this month. The site is designhousedigital.com

I bought these kits so far:
I think they'll come in handy for my project life. I have to go to the gym today and put in another small order to Walgreens. *grins*

Thanks for stopping by!

Beauty crafty style

Okay I did something tonight that was kinda fun. I took crafty scrapbook items and made this:

What is that you ask? Well its a made palette for my eyeshadows. Check it out!
I took an old tin I had. It was popular back in the day. Crafters would use them to make mini paper circle albums that would fit inside the tin. Well I never made an album in one. So I had it in my alter drawer, sitting there doing nothing. I saw this video on youtube from one of my favorite youtubers who was saying how she depotted many of her single eyeshadows and her duos and tris to make a full palette. You can use it all at once and not be pulling out a billion little packages of eyeshadows.
Justkissmyfrog-Kathy is hilariously funny and has a cute accent. Why couldn't I be English? Dang.

It makes you use up what you have and not forget about those single shades you bought in the back of your drawer. I love it.
Best thing I did not buy one thing to make this.

I used:
metal tin- already had 4 bucks at J's or Michael's
eyeshadows- I already owned and depotted
magnetic tape- to put on the bottom of the eyeshadows so they don't clink around or fall out, but can be pulled out and replaced once you use them up.
Scrapbooking paper for the top
felt flower embellishment for top I already had

I love this. Here's a pic of one of the shadow's with the magnetic piece on the bottom.
Most of these eyeshadows are my cheaper drugstore ones I've bought the last year or so. My more expensive eyeshadows are mostly already in palettes. These are Covergirl, Revlon, and Maybelline. I made a video response to Justmyfrogs video of how she did it.

Here's my video if you want to see it. Pretty much the pics show it all though. :)

I'm such an awkward vlogger. I haven't wanted to put my face on camera as my hair is still brown and I'm not happy about it. I'm really wanting my hair back to its normal color and I can not myself make it do it right!! It looks a hot mess at the moment. Pulled back you can't really tell, but down you can. I have dark blond light roots and dark brown hair!! Its icky. Till that is fixed there will be no new pictures of me or video! lol. I will get it fixed soon because we're having our annual Mardi Gras party coming up in a couple weeks. I can't wait. I'll be making Whiskey Bread Pudding. I got some decorations today. Still plan on making some soon.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you like my crafty + beauty item.

What CHA new stuff do you love? leave me a linkie!

Jinglebelles current challenge is to make a card from inspiration from their JB banner. Well heck ya! I can't pass up a JB challenge. I just rub my hands together in anticipation of December when all my Christmas cards will be made and ready to be sent out. I can't wait!

Here's the card I made:

Peppermint pp-cosmo cricket, red ribbon-Michael's, candy cane stickers-K&Company, blue and white pp-My Minds Eye, JOY - thickers brown (covered in red stickles and then dried), red bell unknown, white snowflake stickers-unknown (from Target clearance).

I love how this card turned out.  Its one of my fav's this year so far.

This weekend was nice. We didn't do much. Hubby has a project he's working on that takes up alot of time on the weekends. Hopefully next weekend will be the last he has to work on it. I'm wanting to take the boys to Gatorland sometime soon. Today I hit up Target and got groceries and things. I bought some cute cupcake 1 dollar wrapping paper I might do something with. Tonight I plan on watching some stuff online and going to bed early. I also want to go check out some of the new CHA stuff if possible online. Not that I NEED anything. hehe
I've seen Tim Holtz's and Ranger's. I like their stuff, but most of it I like the last release more and I still need to get some of it.

Have you all seen that pencillines is also going belly up? :( Not that I participated every week, but dang. So many this year are not going to do it anymore. Bums me out.

Week 4 Project life book

I'm loving this project still. Here's pictures from this week:

I've been busy this week with random things and only seemed to get this done after Tuesday. I think the Walgreen's photo department must hate me by now. I every week since I started Project life have put in a 3 to 5 picture order of current photos for this project. Big order eh? lol. It usually costs less than 2 dollars.

I hope to get a couple cards done tonight. We'll see. I have one more Dexter episode to watch on this dvd of season four. God I love that show. Tonight I made Logan chocolate chip pancakes. He's eating them now. Leo won't eat them. Figures.

Butter chicken, too many lentils, and naan. yeah..

I have really been working hard this year so far to keep up my healthy lifestyle. I ate Indian food today. It was so good. I have no idea how to count points for Indian food. It is so hard. I tried to load up my plate with veggies mainly, but I did partake in some butter chicken. How can you not??

I have cut down my diet coke intake to only one a day if that. I hardly eat anything processed. The only things I eat processed anymore is Kashi cookies (3 pts each) and the wraps I eat are processed. They are whole wheat wraps with lots of fiber and goodness. They are so good. You should try these if you are going to make wraps. I use them for healthy burriots, turkey wraps, and breakfast wraps. Good stuff. Ole Extreme wraps, I get them from Publix here.

I made another card the other day with the newest sketch from deconstructed sketch. I am always in need of unisex kid's birthday cards. Logan is always invited to friends birthday parties (usually boys) that I need a card for last minute. I'm going to try to make my next few birthday cards I make other than Christmas cards.

Here's the sketch:

Here's the card I made:

The background pp circles and pencil pp is BG, the blue ribbon is from Michael's, green dotted cardstock is Bazzill, The stamp is Studio 112 from Joann's that was 1 dollar, and I used prismacolor watercolor pencils to color in the stamp and Blue Palette ink from TAC to stamp it. The balloon paper embellishment is from K & Company.

Tomorrow is Grandparent luncheon day with your kid at Logan's school. I'm excited for my parents to be able to go do that with Logan. There are times when I get kinda sad about not being able to move, but then I realize I really don't want to. I love living close enough to my parents that they can make the drive over and do things like this with my kids. Growing up my 3 grandparents lived way too far away to do anything like this with me. Also who are we kidding? I'm a Florida girl. I'd be miserable anywhere else. I'm already ready for beach season to be upon us in a few months. :) There's no real spring here. Well this year I guess what it is now could count. Its been 80 most days lately. lol I'm ready put all the "winter" clothes away already and its not even February.

Thanks for stopping by!
