Fun weekend here. We went to a local Florida park and swam
in the river. It was great. There is a playground there that has a rock wall my son loves. It was nice to be out and about, even if my living room needed vacuuming and I should have been moping my floors.
I've been up to some arty goodness, but been too busy to take many pictures. I didn't even take my camera to the park today. *gasp*
I know, I was bummed. But it was nice to live in the moment. As sometimes I forget to do, while planning and taking pics from behind the camera.
Leo loved the baby swing at the park. It was his first time in one. I carried him around in his moby wrap today and he loved it still. He's adorably cute.
On the crafty front-
1) I finished the creative therapy book shown in the last entry. It was amazing. I do love how real all the pages were and the artwork in them. I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants a good read about how others took what was bothering them in their lives and transformed it into art journal pages. It gets it out of your system. Helps your soul heal. I love that.
2) I've joined a new art journal private board. YOU are invited. Please join us. We're going to have daily prompts and the set up is very much like facebook. A fun place to be and it's a great place to share your work, with out having it out there for all to see. Ya know what I mean you art journalers out there.
3) I bit the bullet and bought the pdf for Julie Balzer's first design class. I love her work and knew her new class would be starting soon. I had recently done a class from someone blog style I didn't care for, so I was a little leary. Her first class" 7 days 7 principles" is amazing. It really made me be able to look at my work with a critical design eye and figure out what is not working. I can look at my old stuff and say "Oh wow I should have done this or done that". Where as before I'd know it wasn't perfect, but couldn't figure out why. I can't wait for the next class to start. If you want a better understanding of design elements. TAKE the class!
4) Last but not least, I've been looking over the classes that are going to be offered in ArtFest 2009. A fellow art journaler on my new board is going there. She's so lucky! Its held in Washington state. Maybe one year I'll be able to go. The classes look so neat. This one I'd die to take. I wouldn't mind this one either.
So thats all. I haven't had a chance to clean or create this weekend. Tomorrow is a new day. Have a great Sunday all and don't forget TruBlood is on tonight!

Wow! Have fun with your class! Looks great. I tagged you. Check out my blog if you want to play along (and I won't be insulted if you don't!)
