Happy Mardi Gras!!!!

One day, one day I will make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and go and see all the parades with the boys in tow. Maybe next year or the year after. We were in New Orleans twice last year. I'm sure we'll go this summer or late fall this year. Really I'm just waiting for Leo to be big enough that he won't be bored and actually enjoy it.

Today I have plans to see an old friend at the park. Tomorrow I get my new floors!! Very exciting. I have no idea what I'm going to do with Leo and the dogs while the floors are being put down. urgh..Oh well it'll be worth it!

Have a great day everyone!!

Fish tails layout

Supplies:
Blue cs-Bazzill, blue wave pp-Basic grey, lilypad- printed out from digital kit by KPertiet(digitaldesigners.com), journal tag from LReid journal me this (little dreamer designs) printed out, fish sticker unknown, white font stickers-sixth avenue, buttons unknown.

My parents brought me these pictures last time, Logan stayed at their house. He was so proud of his big catch. This is the same dock I grew up catching blue gills off of with dough bread balls. I love how it turned out. The journaling and lilypad are printed digital elements.

Yesterday, we had our Mardi Gras party. It was a success! Tons of fun and good God the food!! I didn't take a single picture. I totally forgot. urgh!!! Oh,well. Next year!

We had crawfish ettouffe, crawfish linguine, mufalattas, beignets, king cake, red beans and rice, alligator balls (made w/alligator meat, not real balls!), Zapps crawdad tater chips, and dirty rice.

House isn't too tore up. Online crop at Scraptastic that is rocking this weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Card and P.A page post VD

I made this card with the push from my friend, Sherrie. She saw a card at Target that had this saying on it and said I should do one like it. That she had no owl stuff. I was shocked. Who doesn't have owl stuff???? Its not like she and I don't buy our fair share of scrappin' stuff so I was surprised. I mean I have owl stamps, owl papers, owl rubons... and heck I even carved my own owl stamp. lol. Seriously.. I told her I am going to have to send her owl stuff pronto. She can't miss the great Owl fad of 07/08 in the scrapping world.

I also managed to make a new art journal page in my paper adventure moleskin. This one was for the theme- Little Details. It has all the details of that day written inside the rub on heart.

We had a nice weekend. I ordered my new flooring today. Yeah! I can't wait till its done. I also wanted to mention I got a gorgeous thank you card from the ever talented, Lauren. She rocked my little hand carved flamingo stamp I sent her. Isn't it a gorgeous card??

Onto the rest of the week!

Sweet tooth

Jeez.. I've been doing tons of creating even actual paper stuff, but I haven't had anytime to take pics. So I will post another digital layout till I get the chance to take photos of my other new stuff. Today we went to the eye doctor. Logan squints all the time for far away distances and he does need glasses. I dropped a good chunk of chump change on two pairs for him today. Please pray he doesn't not lose the ones that I paid extra to have that transition thing on them. You know when they turn into sunglasses when you go out into the sun. Yeah they talked me into getting that on one of the pairs I bought. It wasn't cheap. lol. I'm really hoping that if he does end up losing a pair its the other ones. Same goes for any breakage.

We then went to a new Indian restaurant. The one we normally go to was closed for a private party. So we went across the street. OH MY GOSH... It was so good. It was seriously the best Indian food I've ever had. Not that I've had tons, but I'm very happy with this place. They even had peas and lentils. I'm a lentil lover totally. The boys even liked the non-hot stuff.

Tomorrow my parents are coming and taking the boys so I can deep clean everything without little man underfoot for next weekend. We're having a big Mardi Gras party. Mostly all hubby's friends are coming and their families. Its going to be great. I'm going to have to go work out every night this coming up week to prepare to not gain 10 lbs next Saturday.

I also found out that Scraptastic is having their annual American Idol scrap contest. I'll be participating again this year. Very exciting!! I'm a little worried that its a traditional scrappin' contest and I do digi. Lots of digi. I'm going to have to work it out to do at least one reg. page a week. I'm excited. It was a blast last year. Most of the same girls are back this year.

Hope everyone had a good Valentines! I did. I'm getting my new floors!! yeah :)

Amazing digi race challenge 9

I made this for challenge 9 of the ADR its a scraplift. I was supposed to add a star and dream to it, but well... I'm not really racing so who cares! I like how it turned out. I hope the colors print out as pretty as they are on the computer.

I'm racing this morning to get Logan to school as usual. I'm waiting for him to get himself dressed. I think that is the longest undertaking when you have an "older" child. He's not a baby anymore I can just slap some clothes on and run out the door. No he has to do it himself (which he should), but jeez... it takes forever. Its always a "Logan did you get your belt on yet?", "Logan did you put on your shoes and socks?"

Caardvarks has a new heart challenge. I hope to work on that tonight. I miss my papers.

Have a great Tuesday!

Fort Wilderness

We had a great time this weekend at Fort Wilderness. We went and camped in our pop up there. It was fun. We only got to do one night, which I worried would be so much trouble, for so little time, but it was still a blast. I do wish we could have stayed a few more nights. I carried Leo in my moby wrap most of the time time. Woo... talk about a work out. No need for the gym when you're doing that let me tell ya! He's 27 lbs and I carried him for hours and hours like that. lol

My legs actually throbbed when I was sleeping last night. I go to the gym 4x a week at least so I'm not that out of shape. Then this morning I pulled Leo and Logan around in the wagon about a mile and over a few little hills and once again... wooo doggie.. That was some work! I think if I spent a week there I'd lose ten pounds in a week like they do on the Biggest Loser. (I love that show) I totally forgot my stroller and I'm actually glad.

Logan and Leo loved it. Absolutely loved it. I can't wait to go again. Kinda bummed I had one pic taken of all 4 of us and Leo had smudged my lense with a greasy finger. You can't even SEE Logan or Lewis. Oh well. Next time.

Paper Adventure 08- Winter

Its so cold here! I actually thought about buying gloves. I don't own gloves, but I wished I had some when I was taking out the trash this morning! *brrrr* I made this art journal page last night. I'm coming along with the paper adventure art journal challenges. Not many left. I'll be so thrilled when I finish them all.

Tomorrow my son is going on a field trip. I can't go. I can't bring Leo, and I have no one to watch him. I'm so nervous letting him go with the class! I think I'll be holding my breath from the time I drop him off till I pick up him in car line.

I'm excited to get thing together for camping this weekend. I just need to remember to breathe and not let myself get stressed. Once we're there and set up I'll feel relieved. I just hate when I don't know exactly where we are going and can't "envision" it. Lots of picture opportunities! Can't wait.

Paper Adventure 08- Home

Still chugging along trying to finish all the art journal pages for Paper Adventure 08 themes. Still have around 18 to go. lol. I've started to do a few digital and printing them out. I like this one. It came out cute and it has the top 6 things I really and I mean really want to do around this house.

We've lived here three years now and I've just dipped into what I want done. I am not overly picky. Most things I can live with. Heck I've lived with this carpet for 3 years! But there are things I can't wait to eventually do. I wait. I save. I get other things first instead. But eventually I will get these things done!

Off to watch a tv and go to bed.
