Newest digi for contest

This is the last week and we had to do a layout about an inanimate object. Here's mine. I am in LOVE with this layout. I always wanted to get the story down about this little piece of treasure I keep. Just so future generations know what it meant to me and where it was from. I want to do this with more of my things that are precious to me. (am I the only one that the Lord of the Ring movie ruined the word "precious" for? I always hear myself saying it like Gollum. haha)

































Well I'm already tired. Wish I had some new cute pictures of me to post on Facebook. Silly, but true. Maybe I'll take a few tomorrow. Tomorrow night my son's school is having a "fest" so we will be attending. Its a night thing, so we won't be staying long because of Leo. I don't want to mess up sleep schedules. That only tortures me.

Might still go to my parents. Blueberry season is in full swing at the farm near their house. Would really love to get some fresh eggs, blueberries and homemade preserves. Have to see how Leo does tomorrow. He's still been a little sick.

Last quick unrelated thought: Thinking of giving up tv. Crazy. But what all would I get done if I never watched tv?? Not that I watch that much, but I hate paying so much for cable. I could do better things with my time. Logan would mind a little, but not really. He watches very little and Lewis watches his stuff online.

Maybe I should try it for a week. No tv. Eek! I would really miss seeing Project Runway and True Blood when they come back on. Otherwise...eh..

4 fav digi layouts from SUTUC

I've been participating in the After Five/Shabby pickle, So you think you can Scrap? Digi contest. Its been fun. I never expected to place or win, just had fun participating. You should honestly see what some of those digi girls can do. It blows your mind. I'm still learning and plugging away. I feel I do pretty good for someone who has barely a year of digi scrappin' under her belt. I'm trying to learn adobe photoshop more and more. The actions thing still throws me off. Getting brushes to save well thats another thing I am struggling with. BUT!!! I will prevail! I'll figure it all out eventually. So I figured this is the last week I'll post my layouts I've done so far that I'm the most proud of. I really do love all of these so much. Hope you enjoy them too.

Holy crud a card?

I actually made a new card. Well three really but they all look like this. Its a hybrid card. I made the scallop label in Photoshop with different elements from Little dreamer designs. Most of it is from their new birthday digi fireworks kit. I then printed it out. Cut it out. Mounted it on red cardstock and then cut it out again. I then used Basic Grey's Balloon paper from the cupcake line. Inked sides put it on a blue cardstock card, added brad and pointer and voila'! My fav hybrid card thus far I've made. Its even prettier in person.

I doubt they'll be an creating today. Leo has a stomach flu yesterday. blah. I hope he's okay today. He got sick in his carseat yesterday and I had to break the whole thing down. Not fun. Today I do have a teacher conference. I almost forgot about that.

So lets see I will be doing laundry and cleaning and lyseolin' things today. Then a teacher conference. I wish I could go thrift store shopping and/or go to the aquarium with the boys. Leo will be up soon. Have a great Tuesday!

Monthly digi doodad

I hope to make one of these at the end of every month. I can't seem to keep up with 365 days and I don't always want to use photos on my monthly review. Heck sometimes I want to be just about that day.

Lauren and I had a monsta atc swap. I am a total procrastnator so I got her package first. I did not remember to take pictures of my stuff so hopefully Lauren will.

But here is the greatness I got yesterday in the mail!!! I love them!













































They came with this uber cool card too! I should have taken a picture of the packaging because she out does herself there also. She's a master at presentation and detail. Gorgeous. Really. I have to add, Lauren I've already had people on my flickr fav your pics of your monsta cards! lol. I do have in the description they are yours. :) You all should go check out her blog. She's a master at cards and is a designer on Caardvarks.

I really want to show the digi layouts I've been doing for SUTUCS contest. eh.. I will wait a little longer I guess. Its just because its supposed to be "annoynomous". This is going to be the most random blog post ever. Hope you can keep up.

Today in the mail I got Lewis' prescription snorkel goggles for our cruise! I got them from snorkelcity.com. I'm thrilled with them. He can see through them like his glasses. Now he'll actually WANT to go snorkeling with me. He hated it before. I mean really though if you can't see anything it would kinda suck.


I forgot to get buttermilk today at the grocery for Lewis' bacon biscuits I make him for his breakfests. They are delicitible. I ramped up a WW recipe to make them. He loves them.

Next month we're going on a family cruise. I'm very excited. I want to make a small mini album to take with me to fill in while on the cruise. I want to use my polariod pogo prints with it exclusively. I think that would be so cool. Still brainstorming about the mini album.

My blog needs a major overhaul.

I'm tired. I'm off to go watch some tv and then bed. I have a kindergarten field trip to attend tomorrow! I get to bring my one year old in tow. Fun! hehe

Crud

I feel like a total slacker when it comes to my blog. I've been doing so many contests and other ventures that I haven't been able to keep up! It doesn't help that most of the things I do aren't supposed to be "shared" yet. Blah!

I did have something weird happen tonight. This is sort of a cautionary tale. I submitted a digital layout to an ezine about a month ago. Well I never heard back. I didn't think anything of it. Actually I forgot all about it. Well I was going through my spam (because hubby said I should that lots of things get put in there by accident) and there was an acceptance for one of my layouts to go into ScrapStreet magazine!! Unfortuately, they sent the inquiry to publish my layout back on the 2nd of April.

So... since I just sent in all the stuff tonight, who knows if it'll still be published. Bummer totally. *fingers crossed*

On a total different note, I have also been working hard over here getting ready for Logan's 6th birthday and our Disney cruise we're going to take in May. There is alot of work involved in both. I kid not. Its not for the faint of heart to be in charge of 5 adults and 2 childrens paperwork and such for the cruise via Disney. (my parents and MIL are going too)

Also I hope and pray our new passports get here in time, but luckily I have a back up plan of using birth certificates if need be. We made the cut off. I renewed my passport since it was expiring in October. I never got one with my married name either, so I kinda had to fix that. Since I've been married over 8 years and all...heh.

All I have to share is a layout I last night. I love digi layouts. I would have never scrapped these pictures otherwise I doubt. It turned out nice. Also my favorite picture I took on Easter. Its my Mom and Leo. You can see Dakota running around in the background like a mad fool. God, I love this picture.

Can't believe already

Its been over a week since I posted already. Wow time is going by too fast. I just haven't had the time to really keep up with this blog other than posting some of my new things.

I have to many crazy contests keeping me busy right now. Well that and the little trouble making monsta, Leo (my one year old).

This is my newest layout for Scraptastic's American Idol contest. This is week 6 challenge. Its a hybrid layout with the digital frame and picture printed out. I made the little clay bone out of polymer clay. I need to make more clay stuff again. Its been eons.

I'm tired tonight. We're having a sleepover since its spring break week. Thinking that I'm going to be able to get them to sleep at nine is a pipe dream, but one I really have to believe will happen. So tired....
I found this jacket the other day and fell in love. Its 50 bucks. I'd only be able to wear it like 2 weeks a year so like 2x a year at most. But I'm in love... This OR this cool necklace I saw....

I also found this new necklace through one of my fav blog girlies. Is 60 dollars too much for a necklace that I'll only wear once in a blue moon because Leo will tug it off? Mothers Day maybe??
