June altered box

This month's little digi board I made. This is my third one surprisingly! I want to keep doing them all year and print them out and keep them in a special album. I think I started in April, so I'll go till next April maybe?? They aren't for anyone else's challenge. Just something I came up with that I liked. I've seen other people do bulletin boards so I wanted to do this little shelf type board. You can get the shelf from Scrapartist.com.

The dandelion print is by Alan Buckle. Raven painting by lemurgurl art. Tree necklace by lulubugjewelry on etsy. Embroidered butterfly Purse by Brighton on ebay.

Yesterday, I switched gyms. I really needed a gym with childcare. I'm excited to be going back to my old gym, but now I have to get used to going during the day to the gym again. I'm already kinda eh... about going this morning. blah.. I am also waiting for two more transcripts and lucky me will be returning to college! Thats right I'm going back. I'm going for a paralegal degree. Its exciting and scary all at the same time. More scary. lol.

I wonder if I still have the brain power to keep up. I mean after all mommy playdates and watching Spongebob does not challenge your brain muscle let me tell ya. I wish I had done it years ago. I wish I had never dropped out of college in the first place. But alas...life is what it is. I have more regrets than not and probably I'll be adding to those soon.

I still haven't taken pictures of my copic marker made stuff. I will. Unfortuately, when I think about it, its raining! I need good light to take pics. Well I gotta get the boys up, take some tylenol (my back is killing me!) and go to the gym. Rain you won't stop me today! I have 4 lbs to go till my goal weight. Tomorrow is my one year anniversary of starting my weight loss and healthy living. I think being 4 lbs off is not too shabby.

Thanks for stopping by!

Digi Dare 139

I've been a horrible blogger recently. Just too much going on. Little creative juices flowin'. I just feel like I'm at one of those crossroads in my life. I'm not sure where I'm going or what I want to do. I feel angry and upset and just not me. So thats where this layout is coming from. It was a digi dare. I love those dang dares. If nothing else they'll give ya the oomph to get something done. No matter what you are feeling like. I made this late last night and did very little actual writing down what each piece part came from. Forgive me. Mostly its Mysterious Melancholy kit (again from after five designs I love that kit.), some creation 23, rocks and metal from the by the sea collab kit on after five. The fonts are scratchy alpha from after five and fff fusi.

I had a great time in Alabama with my crafty buddy, Sherrie. She took me to Hobby Lobby where they had their copic markers on sale! We don't have a Hobby Lobby in FL. So I decided to jump in and got about 7 copic markers. I LOVE them. I will be showing some stuff made with them soon. If you wonder if the expensive little buggers are worth it? They so are. LOVE THEM. I watched a few you tube how to use them and that really helped.

Off to go get our weekend going. I made instant bacon grits this morning and I feel like I ate nothing! I'm starving! More coffee will help. My coffee isn't nearly as good as Sherries. I miss it Sherrie!! Miss you guys! We love you! Send me those pics of us on the train or send me the pic of us together on your phone to my phone.

New Caardvarks challenge! Guest designer

I was thrilled to be choosen to be a guest designer for the June 20th Caardvarks challenge. The challenge is windows. Whatever that means to you. There are such neat things the DT and guests have done. Go check it out!

Here are my two cards I made for the challenge. First my blue baby boy card. I used blue cardstock, and made the card and square frame. I took an old stained baby onesie and cut it up for the face of the polar bear to put behind the frame. Then mounted it to the card with pop up foam dots. I then laced the embroidery floss around the frame and tied it. The little happy plastic greeting I got from Joanns years ago. The hearts are a paper punch with three side by side. Inside the greeting says "you are here".

I love this card. Its adorable and recycled my baby onesie cuteness that was all stained up.

My second card is a hybrid card.

The digital elements are from the Mysterious Melancholy kit on After five designs. I printed out the frame with the butterfly after adding shadows and adhered it to the cardstock, patterened paper and card. I printed out a separate butterfly cut it out and adhered it to the original butterfly image so its popped up. Some flowers, button, and embroidery floss and voila' done.

I also used stickles on the butterfly, but its difficult to tell in the picture.

What a fun challenge. Can't wait to see what the next one will be.

I'm going soon to visit my best bud, Sherrie in Alabama. I'll be gone for awhile. I am very excited to see her and we'll be doing some crafting! Yeah!

I just have to figure out what crafty stuff to pack! Though she has tons just like me.

Off to get things done today. Want to work on replacing some grout and hoping to take little Leo to the aquarium just him and I. I want to get tons of good pics and play out in the water area with him. Its a Mommy and Leo weekend.

sketch this challenge 87

I really felt like doing a sketch tonight. I found this one on sketch this blog. Great sketch! I don't have much time to write tonight. Exhausted. I just wanted to share this layout with a pic from our cruise. I love this photo. Logan and Leo were not really impressed with the character breakfast. I only have 2 good shots from it. Oh well... Enjoy!
