Heart the arts prompt week 31 Guest Week!

This week for fun, Lauren has kindly taken over for me to make up this week's prompt and do this week's art journal page on her blog! I will be working on the prompt and hopefully posting it in the next few days. Its a good one! Her page is awesome!

Go check it out here!

Not to leave you completely high and dry. I did want to post my July digital calendar for the month. Wow July. You flew by.

Today is the last day I can justify eating ice cream for breakfast

I have yet to find my "To kill a Mockingbird" book. I have no idea where it could have went. Good thing is these are quite easy to find in almost every bookstore used or new and I will be picking up another as soon as possible. I just got a jolt feeling, a need almost to read it again. So once I'm done reading "Eat, Pray, Love", that is what I'll be reading. I'm about half way through, "Eat,Pray,Love".

I made my atc for my swapbot.com partner. It is going up to someone up in Canada. Here's how it turned out.

Feeling a bit better today. Think I'm going to carve some stamps and possibly try my hand at making a card for the new Cardabilities challenge that is up. Amy is one of their new DT. Her card is fab!

There is also a new Illustration Friday challenge up, but its..."artifical". Woo doggie thats a hard one. I'd have to think about that.

I don't know if anyone reads Julie Balzer's blog, but she has her reviews of CHA up and they are great. I can't wait to get my hands on some new Hambly!

I also wanted to share my envelope I made for no other reason than just cause. I just wanted to make a fun mail art manila envelope to send someone. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday. Something different tomorrow for Heart the Arts prompt.

Why is it I can't find my copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird?"

Doing better today. I've finally decided that my blog titles are going to be random things. Why not? Heck. Its better than "Tuesday", now isn't it? haha Oh, wait...its Thursday right...

Still a bit sick. Sorry. Out of my delirium I did manage to make this card for this week's sketch of 2S4Y. This is the sketch.

And here is the card I made. The sandpiper is my hand carved stamp.

I still have not carved any more stamps to add new to my Etsy store, but I will be hopefully tonight. Sneak news is I will be doing a kite carp, new frog, and a new sushi set. You gotta love the sushi. What can say?

I've been doing a few little swaps here and there on swapbot.com for fun. I owe someone in Canada an owl atc soon. I need to work on that too. I'm excited to draw something neat up and send it. I hope they'll enjoy it. I will be excited to see what I get in return.

I've got to go get drink for the little one and lay down a bit. Thanks for stopping by!

I dream of buzzards coming in my house and ripping out my throat. Normal? No?

You might have guessed it. I do have the strep again. Yes.. Yes.. Its a small set back, but a pain in the butt painful one at at that. The doctor actually flinched backwards a bit after looking into my throat last night. I take that as a compliment of my great non ability to take pain. I went in when I started to get a fever after writing my last blog post entry. I cursed a bit when I took my temperature and saw I had a fever. By the time I made it to the urgert care my fever was 103. I had taken Advil. Lovely.

Today I call it my strep day, but good day...

Wake up and muster enough energy to take Leo to daycare. I don't feel bad about this. Don't feel bad about this. Not enough energy to do so. You are like a gas tank with only so much gas. Guilt uses gas.

Come home take nap.

Wake up and get Lewis to go to the thrift store for books and crafting supplies. Then go to a new Vietnamese restaurant we wanted try today. We had planned on today being a full on date day for us. Logan is at my parents house. Leo was going to day care. We were going to have a full day of fun! Yeah.. well I did a little bit of fun. :)

We went to the thrift store and I found a couple books. I got "Like Water for Chocolate" for 99 cents which I've been meaning to read for ages. I also found a couple vintage kids books as usual.

Then we went to the Vietnamese place. OH MY GOD. I have to say. There is not a better place on this planet for a girl trying to get over strep throat than there. I go in and immediately order my first ever bubble tea. Yum. Strawberry. (I should have ordered Green tea, next time)

I had the veggie pho.

I'm not going to work on these photos in photoshop they are straight from hubby's blackberry. I'm too tired. This blog post just drained last wee bit of my gas in my energy tank. When we got home I took a 3 hour nap. I'm needing another. lol. What a wuss!

I'd really like to get some stamps carved tonight. We'll see if I can gather anymore energy together tonight. I got my new CARDS magazine in the mail today! Its so good. Really got my card mojo creative juices flowing. I haven't made a card in way too long!!

Thanks for stopping by. Chicken soup for everyone!

Bookmarks

To Tuesday fun: I get to share with you what I made this week with Kathy Martin's new digital doodle. You can find it on 2peas. I thought this one was extra cute and made a bookmark out of it. I love having bookmarks around and making them for my book loving friends.
I printed this doodle out and used copics to color it in. I never do use my copics enough I tell you.

I hate to report that I have again fell sick to whatever sadistic fate, that is so not cool, I can't even put it into words. Being sick for over a week with Strep during the summer was bad enough. Now I'm sickly again. I was worried this was strep again, but I think its just an annoying virus that makes it hurt to swallow, snotty, and tired with no fever. If there was a fever I'd worry about the Strep. The strep really kicks your butt with the fever.

I just wanted to leave you with some of my fav pictures of the zoo this weekend. We actually got to feed the giraffe which was totally cool. I hadn't done that with the boys before and it was so neat. I had never felt what a giraffe feels like. Think...horse hair really pretty close just really short. Great time. Now just more chicken soup my way. I also did draw two new hand carved stamp designs!

Hope to get working on those soon!

Thanks for stopping by.

ST Sunday Lovely

This weekend was fast and furious. We went to the zoo with my friend and her kids, who came to visit. All I got done this weekend was entertaining really. Leo has come down with a cold. I'm right in the middle of reading "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I can not believe I've waited this long to read it. Wow. I'm in love with this book. She's so very me in so many ways, character wise in the book. I love the way she writes.

Tonight while feeling my creative juice nagging me to do SOMETHING, I made this digital layout with the current Sketchy Thursday sketch. Here is the sketch.

Here's the digital layout I made with it. I wanted to do a D.C. layout since I got back. We had such a great time. Going to all the places there was so much fun. I'd really love to go back again when Leo is older and do a White House tour and see more of the National museums.

Tomorrow is kind of up in the air for us. Leo is a little sickly. We might go to the beach. We might go see AirBender. We might do nothing. I might make cards all day in some mad card bender that I would love to do! Maybe we'll just go to Chuck E Cheese. Who knows. Tomorrow is totally and completely a freebie. Lewis is off. The boys are home. Leo may or may not go to daycare. Leo may or may not be sick. I may or may not go to the gym (totally should).
I'll guess we'll see how it all pans out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Heart the arts prompt week 30

Another week flying by. Jeez we're in the prompt 30's now? Can you believe I have 4 pages left in my moleskine till its filled up? Yep. I'll either be forced to use one of the new "different" books I bought, or just go buy another watercolor moleskine. (which I secretly want to do out of sheer familiarity)

I can't even write in this blog what all I've got done this week. Its tons. Just tons. I'm so proud of myself, because I've tackled to do list, after to do list, and ran around like a chicken with my head off, but came out in one piece! I got things done like replacing the facet handle in the guest bath that has been broken for at least 6 mths. I know this doesn't sound like much, but it is for someone who keeps forgetting to do this! I painted all the floor boards in my house with a fresh coat of white paint while Leo was in daycare one day. Woot for me! Yes, I ran around like my life depended on it.

At one point I looked around and said "Eep!" what am I going to do for Heart the art? Its Thursday already! I'm late! I'm late! And alas... This is where this page came from..

So the prompt is this week.... Rushed

What are you rushed in doing? Are you always feeling rushed? Did you rush into anything too soon? Do you hate feeling rushed? Go where this fits in your life. As always if my prompt doesn't do it for you, still play along please! Just change the prompt to whatever you want. We'd all love to see it in the flickr group.

Here is my page. Its watercolor. I used my Koi watercolor paints. Mr. Rabbit is a cutie. I love this page in my journal.

Thanks for stopping by everyone. Have a great weekend!

Sketchy Thursday's Aug GDT

I always do the sketch for Sketchy Thursdays monthly GDT spot. I just do. I love their sketches. I usually do digi, because that's typically what I can fit in my schedule. This month is different! ...

Here's their sketch for this month.

I did this layout. I am trying out new ways of photographing my traditonal layouts. Bare with me. I just can not find a good spot with lighting that I'm happy with that makes them look as good in photo as in real life and well photoshop can only do so much for some reason.

The layout turned out so pretty for a camping layout. I wrote and hand cut the title in my handwriting ala Julie Balzer inspired.I consider that my "handmade embellishment". The pp and camper is K& Company. The circle sticker rainbow strip is BG. The green bottom pp is also BG.

Today is the big day of run, run, run, run more errands. See what I can and can't do on my to do lists. I'm not really a big to do list fan. I love making them. I do. I even do the whole teux deux thing online. I should say I love to do lists. I just hate when I can't get everything done on them which is pretty much everyday, because I always put too much on them. haha

Well have a great hump day everyone!

Parasol

This Tuesday with Kathy's Digital Doodle I made this very cool card. I don't know if you can tell but I used my very cool new handmade fabric tape on the parasol. Very cool! I love the stuff. I need more mod podge. I used gel medium type stuff and I think that according to the tutorial, modge podge might work better.

I got myself to the gym today after being a no show for over two weeks. It was almost weird being back. I did an ab class then a half an hour with my friend on a treadmill. I kept it light. I still feel a bit week from the illness. I can see how back in the day before penicillin it would be bad.. very bad..

This is the layout I did for Scraptastic's contest I'm still doing. I just thought I'd share. I'm trying to get things done around here. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.

I have to go to Home Depot, Sams, Clean and organize Logan's room, carpet sweep the house and back porch, (do any midwesterner's know what carpet sweep is? haha) clean frig out, and whatever else I can fit in there before having to go get Leo from daycare.

No crafting :( Boohiss.

Crafty it up for me okay my arty friends?

Thanks for stopping by!

Dreams

We had a great weekend seeing the movie. It was good. I just wish we had gotten there later. We always get everywhere early then we end up having to wait and wait. Waiting with a two year old to then sit and watch a movie when they are sugared up. hahaha not a good idea. Fun though!

I'm sure we will own Despicable Me on dvd. I'm sure we will have it on constant rotation in the Cunningham household.

Last night, I started working on the poem prompt for Scrap that Poetry. I really wanted to do a paper layout. I also wanted to do something abstract. hmm.. Neither happened! Its so funny when you fight what comes naturally then the naturally might never happen, and I really like what came out naturally!

What I came up with is this digital layout. I love this poem. I will love having it in its entiritiey in my album. I think it is such a pretty fantasy layout. Have I mentioned how much I love that blog? I can't wait till the 1st for the next challenge. :)

All the digital components are from the digital kit by createwings designs on Afterfivedesigns. The kit is called Where dreams begin. Fitting huh?

I also got one of my recipes and artwork posted on the website They draw and cook. Click on the image to see it bigger on their site.

Thanks for stopping by everyone. Off to get this day started. Got lots of organzining, cleaning, painting, and shopping to do. I might even get some Dunkin Donuts coffee today! I was very happy to see I lost 4 lbs!! I'm doing really really good. No gym, because I have too much to do, but I will go tomorrow.

Breakfast anyone?

This week's prompt on Illustration Friday is "breakfast". I immediately kicked into high gear and made this paper collage in my moleskine that is too cute for words. I love the look of it. Doesn't it look yummy?

I also sketched out this really quick pencil drawing for the same prompt for fun.

Today we're planning on seeing Despicable me with the boys. Logan is DYING to see it. I mean DYING. I think Lewis is secretly too. He laughs at the promos every time too. I am excited also. It looks hilarious.

I'm fully caught up on most things for the week that I have to do! Can you believe it? I know!

So plans for the coming up week... 2S4Y card, Sketchy Thurs, Scrap that Poetry, and Scrap that Baby AND maybe if I can fit it in there is a fantasy tag week on Something Completely Different.

I'd also like to put a little brag out there while I can. I am on day 6 of soda free-ness. Yes thats right. I've given up all soda products. My dear dear coke zero is no more. I have given it up. (not completely by choice, but that is a whole other story lol)

Still! I am impressed with myself. I haven't went this long with out soda in Forever! Hipp! Horray! Drinking alot more Crystal Light and hot tea instead. Works out okay.

Well I hope that everyone is doing well and being ultra crafty this weekend. I'm off to blog hop a little. Thanks for stopping by!

Heart the arts prompt week 29

Much much better today. I made it here! Woot! You'd be surprised how surprised I am that a little bactercia can kick my butt so. I'm 90% better. Thank you again for all your well wishes. Some neat things that have been going on real quick. Finished Season 2 of True Blood. God I love that show. I'm behind the times, because I am too cheap to get HBO. I've read all the books. I love how they still keep you guessin' even if you've read the books.

Lately I've been falling in love with different things all over again, more and more. My husband for example was such a good trooper during my sickness. He really stepped up when I know he was tired to help out with the boys when I was pretty much worthless and was dying with a fever and sore throat. It made me love him and fall in love with him even more.

He even convinced me to go to the doctor to see if it was strep throat because I wasn't going to go. I'm kinda dense like that. I hate to going to the doctor. Its a pain. I'd rather just let things pass its course. But obviously...strep throat is one of those things you HAVE to get meds for! lol

So I for this weeks prompt it is.... falling for....

What are you falling for? New shoes? Your man or honey all over again? a book series? a certain album?

Here's my page. Its oil pastel and pencil. One of my fav materials.

My creative bug has also recovered. I've been working on this new project today. How cool is this??

Its fabric tape I'm making. I saw this tutorial and had to try it. I'm loving it!

You will soon see what I make with this! Thanks for stopping by everyone. Have a great weekend. Got some catching up to do.

Crawling out into the world

Okay, I think I can handle doing this blog post. Just a little. Grab those big girl panties, Gina. My 7 year old had this strep thing and was fine the next day after being on antibotics. How come I've been on antibotics for 24 hrs and I'm still debating whether I can coherently put together a blog post? haha

Lets see..

Catch up.

Friday drove to Orlando

Saturday. New Smyrna Beach fun times. Still fine. Got tons of pics will share soon!

Sunday drove home that afternoon, started to feel oddly sick. hmm is that a throat tingle? Boom!

..................................And here I am a normal person on Thursday with a diagnosis of Strep throat and antibotics for 10 days that already have helped so much. I don't ever remember being this sick EVER.

I missed Tuesday posting my digital doodle of Kathy Martin's cute lamb this week on Two Peas. I made a cute custom gift baby boy gift bag. I used white flock on the lamb. Its so fluffy. I couldn't get the pic to show that well. Very cute bag. I can't wait to give it out.

Yesterday in the mail I got a great pick me up from Jana. This was our inchie swap come in the mail for me!!! I love them all. Aren't they great? Thank you, Jana! They brightened my sickly day! I totally flaked and did not take a picture of the inches I sent out I don't think. I will have to scour my flickr stream and look. I do things like that when I'm in a rush. Do you ever totally forget to take a picture of something you make and send it out and then thats it? I do it all the time! I do it less, but still do it.

I have this week's DT assignment to do, a new Scrap the Poetry challenge up, great 2s4Y sketch up, HTA for this week, and Scraptastic's layout for this week to do. The must do's will have to come first this week, because I will be low on energy it looks like.

Hope to post tomorrow. Well vibes please! All you can spare. I appreciate all the well wishes. Thank you guys!!

Heart the arts prompt week 28

Lately I've felt kinda heavy off and on. Literally and not literally. You'd think in the light summer months I'd be able to shed off some skin and kick loose. But thats not really the case. I guess I let things get to me too much. I let other people's drama get to me too much. I have a few friends that their lives are constant drama. It swirls around them like a never ending sandstorm. I get worn down just hearing about it. I have an empathetic nature and I think that I let that soak in too much at times. I worry over their worries for them. I want to fix things for them. But as I said earlier, this is something that swirls constantly. I can't see how you'd ever fix it.

This started me thinking about drama. All types of drama. Fake tv drama, real life drama, personal drama, other people's drama. The whole caboot.

Thats why this week's prompt is... drama.

Take it to whatever place you want or feel you'd like to. Something light like your favorite tv dramas, or something more heavy like your current real life drama.

Here is my page. Its a watercolor painting.

I'm in Orlando this weekend. Most likely at the beach today. Taking tons of pictures and soaking up some sun. First beach trip of the year yeah!! Be back on Monday!

Cardabilities

I made this card the other day for the Cardabilities challenge. I was going through all my scraps. Good lordy my scraps. I could start another zip code just for them. And I found all these scraps.I thought they would make a great card. I also used some acrylic white paint on the card with the vintage BG. ;)

Here's the sketch.

And here's the card I made. The spaceship stamp and star stamps are carved stamps of mine.

In other news..
I'm very happy to say that I started taking my new medicine last night and I have high hopes that this will be the answer for me to get my weight under control and my up and down emotional state. I feel good today, but the first few days are always different than the end result.

Today is going to be a busy day of preparing to go to Orlando. I need to leave here by 12. I have to take Logan to his summer camp thing, go to the gym, pack for all of us including stuff for the beach, do some laundry to have some certain things to pack, eat lunch, and succumb to most of Leo's demands which will be thrown at me while doing all the things above except the gym. He'll be in the gym daycare at that point in time.

There will be a new Heart the Arts prompt up tomorrow so stop on by!

Have a great Friday.

flowernecklace

I am so tired today. I have pains in my right side. What is that? The baby sitter will be here soon to watch Leo so I can go to a doctor appt. My doctor never takes long so I think I'm going to go to the library real quick too afterwards. I wish I had booked my sitter to stay a bit longer. lol. I'm so greedy for time to myself its not even funny.

Yesterday was blissful. I went everywhere I could in the time frame. Eclipse was wonderful. I liked it so much better than New Moon. It was worth seeing in the theater again in my opinion. I can't wait till its out on dvd.

I went to different stores and shopped. I got an amazing flower necklace.

Yesterday when I got home I did this layout for the current challenge at Scrap that Baby. I do love that blog.

The challenge is to scrap about your baby and food.

I forgot to post my yummies I got in the mail yesterday from my STP win. I LOVE these flowers! Thanks for stopping by everyone. Off to read some blogs. I need to figure out what I'm going to do for this week's HTA too!

hearty goodness

On the site Something Completely Different this week's challenge is a tag with hearts. I did that and then made it into a card. I realized that the current Caardvarks challenge is a birthday card so I transformed the tag into that. I used a techinque I just saw on Tim Holtz's blog.

I love those dang distress inks!

Today is my first day of kidless fun I'm going to have. The rest of the month Logan will be with me, which is still nice, but not the same. I think this is going to be my only kidless day unless Logan goes to my parents for a few days this month which might happen.

I'm going to enjoy it for what it is. A brief break in mommyhood. Eclipse here I come!

I'm actually nervous the daycare won't be open today either. Isn't that silly? haha. I can't have this day ruined too. I have plans! I need a break!

I'm so excited! I'm wearing my New York and company chartreuse lace dress that I bought while going down in sizes. It fits me great today though I really need a petite in it. I was so small that it was like a potato sack on me. Not right now. But I am doing really well with getting back into the groove so it will eventually be potato sacky again. At least right now I can wear it in my "off" time.

Going to Orlando to the beach with my best friend to Daytona this weekend. All the kidlets will have a blast. That is 6 total. 6 kids, 2 moms. *fingers crossed* We are short 2 arms. I will take a billion pictures! Beach days! I love them. Favorite all time thing about living in Florida. One day I will live my the beach again. Prefer the Atlantic Ocean beaches. I'd give up a pinky toe to live near Cocoa Beach. *sigh* Maybe one day.

For right now I'm happy I've lived in the same house for almost 5 years. Thats like a record of huge proportions for us. Of course if the housing market was different we would be outta here in like a millisecond, but still. Its kinda nice. I like roots. I like stability. I like living 1 1/2 hrs from my parents and 40 mins from my sister.

Well I've go on and on. I'll report my kidlet free day tomorrow!

Oh! I also wanted to share my win stuff from STP. These felt/paper flowers are to die for!

Makin' chili

Its been a long day already. This is the first time I got the chance to get on here and post my card for this week's Kathy Martin's digital doodle.

I'm making chili for dinner. Getting excited for tomorrow. I'm going to go see Eclipse tomorrow because my plans were twarted yesterday by the stupid day care center who decided the 5th was a holiday! Grr. So we had no date day yesterday. Leo's first day of day care will be tomorrow and I'm going with my friend from the gym to see Eclipse! I can't wait.

I also plan to window shop, work on some art, possibly work out, maybe cook a little. The world is my oyster from 8 till 5:30 tomorrow. haha

I did make two new cards today and I hope to post one or two of them tomorrow. I'm off to check out the Scraptastic site to see if I'm advancing in the Ms. Scraptastic contest and what the next challenge is. Wish me luck!

Oh and I got some lovely yummies in the mail today from my win on Scrap that Poetry. Gotta show those tomorrow too. Sorry being totally lazy blogger and only showing you the one thing today.

I will share two recent things I found that I REALLY really want.

This necklace on Etsy is gorgeous!!

I'm in love with this dress on Etsy

These shoes on Anthro *drool*

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday!

Humbug

I don't know if I ever mentioned this on my blog, but I am the biggest hater of fireworks. They are loud, noisy, dangerous, and OVER USED. I would love to live in a state where they don't sell them on every street corner so that Joe Bob and his brothers can't keep me up all night for the week before July 4th, the week after the 4th and the same thing for New years Eve! I mean last year I remember being ticked off on the 14th of July that people were STILL shooting the cannon sounding ones off.

I just hate loud noises. I don't have dogs that bark for a reason. My kids are relatively not that noisy. (compared to others I have been around) Noises make my brain shake in my skull. I can't seem to do anything else or barely put a thought together from deafing sound. I'm taking breaks while writing this. I was all jazzed up that it was raining cats and dogs earlier. Now it is not. Now it is loud as all get out and I just hope that Leo doesn't wake up.

Either way tomorrow is July DATE Day!! I'm so excited. Dragging hubby to 9:00 showing of Eclipse!! Yippee! That will get my sour humbug fireworks mood evaporated for sure!

I did make a new layout with one of my D.C vacation pics. It turned out so pretty. Its a digital layout I did it for the freebie ON the house challenge at After Five Designs.

I also did another digital drawing. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. Just something cute and fun and quick.

Been working hard on my newest digital kit. I'm kinda at a stand still right now. I don't know what else I want to add to it. Its slightly larger than a mini kit at the moment and I did want to add enough for it to be considered a full kit. We'll see. I am going to take my time with this one and see what evolves.

Well thanks for stopping by everyone and listening to my ranting over fireworks.

Illustration-F Drawing for Giant

This Friday's prompt for Illustration Friday's theme is Giant. I've realized that my hope of drawing something daily might now happen. BUT could happen if I included digital items or only did digital drawings. That is a possibility! So this is my drawing for the 1st.

It will soon be included in some way in a new digital scrapbooking kit I am working on. (not sure how yet). I'm still working on it. Its going to be a "green" based kit. No not the color. More like the movement of being earth friendly. :)

So thats what I'm working on. I guess most of my drawings for the next week will have to do with that.

My photoshop is laggin' like no ones business like my computer is running something in the background and I can't figure it out. Its driving me crazy. I only have 17 days left on my CS5 trial. Boo hiss!

Money wise I probably won't be able to get the program till at least September. Bums me out. Well next I'll try out Adobe Illustrator and see what that bad boy can do. I still have my handy dandy backup of Adobe photoshop Elements that will get me through.

Well I'm off to read the Sunday paper, then Post Secrets, stalk for the fab 5 to be put up on 2S4Y, then maybe sneak off to the gym, and then I don't know. Nothing planned. Wow this boring weekend was low key, but nice.

Thanks for stopping by!

Heart the arts prompt week 27 + 2S4Y card

This week was a stumper for me. I just couldn't seem to get back into the groove after our vacation. I haven't felt well the last few weeks. To be completely honest my new medication makes me binge on food horribly. I feel the need to fill up with carbs when not hungry at all. Its like I'll sit there and eat a day's worth of food in an hour then feel horrible the rest of the day. Needless to say I have gained weight and DO NOT LIKE IT. I also made an appointment with my doctor for this Thursday. I've lowered my dosage already, because I know that I can. That is helping. I actually had a binge free day now being on a lower dosage day 4. I went to the gym yesterday and today. I just haven't been able to go that much with sickness and vacation time. Summer is kicking my butt!

Okay this really has very little to do with this week's HTA prompt. I guess my prompt came when I started to think what was normal or not. That perhaps my thinking of just everyday things can be wrong. Or I over think them? I'm not sure. So this week is kinda an open topic.

This week's theme is .... Perhaps...

Go with it wherever you feel the need. Maybe you've realized you were wrong about something. Maybe you realized you do like eggs after the last half of your life not eating them. Perhaps they aren't that bad after all!

Anything really. I just like the word. haha

Here's my page. This page actually used to be another page I hated and I worked on it and worked on it till it came out like this and I actually like it!

I also did a card this week for 2S4Y challenge. The sketch I kinda went my own way with a little bit. Here's the sketch and my card.

The card was made specially in mind for a little girl named Grace. She just lost her twin sister, Ellie to cancer. Jennifer McGuire is setting up a card drive for her. The details are here. I sent this out today to Jennifer so she can send it onto Grace. I hope that it brightens her day a little. Thats what I was going for.

Jennifer McGuire is taking cards through July so send her one for Grace if you can. I bet she gets hundreds. How great would that be?

Thanks for stopping by everyone. I have absolutely no idea what we are doing today. Maybe I'll drag hubby and the boys to the beach here locally. We'll see. It might just be a lazy weekend. I have a feeling the fireworks are going to be way too loud. Oh well. Happy 4th of July you guys!

A little late

I totally forgot that Something Completely different changes on Fridays. Oh and wait today IS Friday isnt' it? Oops!

Well I did do the skinnie for Flora and Fauna. Here it is! I made this into a card and will be sending it with others to Sherrie to be sent out to the troops. The owl is one of my hand carved stamps I designed and carved. I will be listing one on Etsy soon.

I also wanted to post my layout this week for Ms. Scraptastic contest that I'm doing. The challenge this week was to use magenta, slate grey and chartreuse in a layout and mainly only those colors. Here's what I came up with.
Got to use my hand carved cherry blossom branch on my layout. :) Not much more D.C than that!

Off to the gym today. And if I can dig up a J's coupon I might go there. I need adhesive BAD. I'm using a cheap glue stick from Walgreens at the moment. It ain't good.

BUT I hate going to J's with out a coupon.

Which is worse? J's with no coupon or cheap glue stick from Walgreens? Not sure yet. Its also very rainy out and I have both kids. Hmmm Decisions Decisions.

Well have a great Friday everyone!
