November calendar

Last day of November already. Wow. Today is Leo's birthday. We always celebrate it on Thanksgiving though while he's young. I think next year I'm going to have to plan an actual party way into the beginning of November. Its just so hard being a kid with a holiday close birthday. December I'm sure is even worse.

I did finish my digital calendar for this month. I'm keeping up with them. One more month and I'll be making a book of all the pages!! I can't wait. Only problem with that I'm coming up with is cost. Most bound books are reasonably priced in the 8x8 size. If you want a bound book 12x12 its pretty costly. At least around 40 bucks. Do I want to spend 40 bucks or just deal with my digi book at an 8x8 size? I'm sure they'll be deals for these books around the holidays, but I'm not going to be done with last page till at least December 31st. Decisions!

I have started working on the HTA page for this weekend. I have to work on some study note cards for Art History today too.

Things are going well in my classes. I definitively have an A in both classes at the moment. I just have to get through this last final exam in art history. Ooh and its a doozy. I thought all those Greek statutes were hard. Nope this one is mostly churches. Churches like Old St. Peter's, and Hagia Sophia. I have to remember their date of completion, who commissioned them to be built, who buried or relic'd there, etc.. Its interesting, just worrisome to remember all the facts. I want another A! The final counts for the most points of your grade overall. I think its 30%. EEk! The other stuff is broken down a little bit less. The midterm exam was only 20%.

Next semester is ceramics.

Here is this month's digital calendar.

Only other news is I have restarted Weight watchers again. I really want to lose this last bit of weight again. They changed the program yesterday. I'm not really a fan of change, but I'll live with what they did. You can't go by the old way anymore, so pretty much its the new WW or none at all. I'll give it a shot.

The break down of the new WW is pretty much everything is calculated now on fat, protein, carbs, and fiber. Everything is more points, they dished out a few more daily points and weekly points. Fruits and veggies are now completely 0 points so you can eat as much as you want of those. No more just looking at something and already knowing the points. Oh well.. I needed something to kick me into it full force again. As soon as school is over I can start the gym 5x a week again, instead of the 3x I get in lately. I need those extra 2 days.

Painting 4 is done, I need to take a pic. Working on the final 5th painting. Thanks for stopping by!

Heart the arts prompt week 48

Eek!! I'm late! I totally lost track of time this week. These long holiday weekends always throw me for a loop.

I didn't get a chance to do a new journal page so I did this one awhile back and had it saved up, for my just in case moment. Well this is it! I'm outta time! Holy crud.

I hope that everyone's Thanksgiving holidays were good to all those here in the states.

This week's prompt kinda has to do with that. Its about home. Your State. (country whatever)

I thought it would be fun to do a page on where you currently live or somewhere you wished you lived.

Here's my page.

I'm pretty thankful to still be living in Fl. Heck if you would rather this week be a "thankful" week I can totally see that too, but I was just outta time. 10 days left of this semester of school and counting!! Then I'm going to get major working on some ornaments, Christmas cards, and this blog!

Thanks for stopping by.

Heart the arts prompt week 47

I worked on the Heart the arts page last night. I wanted to do a collage of sorts. I took different pieces of emphera I had and made a watercolor crayon background and made this. I wanted to find a quote this week that really summed up what is going on in my brain right now. I thought that would be kind of a good thing to do for this week. Something easy and always works well for art journal pages.

So this weeks prompt is .... fav quote that reflects where you are right now

Here is my page.

My quote says "Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world."-Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Today we're probably going to take the boys to the new children's museum in Tampa. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Pinky Dinky Doo

I am alive, I'm just super duper busy. I haven't even done this week's HTA. I have no idea what I'm doing yet! Eep! It'll probably be up really late on Saturday. I did want to share a few of the things I have been fitting in, just haven't had time to post about.

I made this brush holder for my paint brushes so that I wouldn't have to carry them loose back and forth to school. I love it. It took like 10 minutes tops. Awesome. Its already been well used as you can see.

I had this gelaskin made from an image of one of my watercolor paintings. It came out so cool for my itouch. It cost 14 bucks. It was really easy to upload my scanned image of my painting and get it all set up on the website. 5 days later it was in my hands!

Well I am trying to finish my 4th painting this weekend. I will share pictures. I also have my paper to be finished this week and need to start studying for my final. December 8th!! December 8th all will be normal around here after that. Miss you all. I am still trying to catch up on comments. I will catch up. I will!

Heart the arts prompt week 46

I have went a full week with out posting! I'm so sorry! I have been swamped as usual. I haven't noted on my fav blogs, nothing. I have been obsessed with my fav guy King Tut. I have been doing immense amounts of art work for school. Today I went in and got 4 hours worth of work done on my latest interior painting done. Which is awesome. I will catch up with you all soon! I promise!

I at least am keeping up with Heart the arts. I will not let that or my digital calendars slip.

This week I had to come up with a new theme. It actually came to me pretty quickly. I've been obsessed with Egyptian art ever since we had the chapter in my art history class. The other day I found a great find at a used paper back book store of a book just on King Tut for 7 bucks. Its AWESOME.

So I started thinking this week's theme should be ... history

Whats your favorite time in history? Is something ancient history that you can't get out of your mind? Do you hate history? Its open to whatever you want to make it to be.

Here's what I did.

This is watercolor on the watercolor paper in my moleskine. I will probably add more to this page in the future, but I was happy with it like this for right now.

Can't wait to see what everyone else does! Thanks for stopping by.

Heart the arts prompt week 45

Heart the art this week I decided to do something digital. I've already printed it out and put it into my art journal moleskine, but I haven't had the chance to take a picture of that for you all. So I figured I just post the digital version for you guys.

Lately whats been smooshing my mind with its greatness is what I'm doing in my painting class. I have ideas, and more ideas about what to do for our last painting. I have to decide by Monday what I'm going to do and submit my proposal on Monday.

This page kinda shows the ideas being pulled around in my head.

I figured that would be a great theme prompt for this week.

This week's prompt theme is... pull

Do you feel pulled in different directions? Do you like pulling sleds in snow? Do you wish you push one thing and pull another? Sky is the limit. Just get it on an art journal page!

Here's mine!

I went up to school to work on my 4th painting an interior painting on canvas 24x36. Its a monster! I'm working on making mine look more Van Goghish, which is a biotch. Wish me luck. When I get to my 4th or 5th layer I'll post a pic. Miss you guys!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Buzz cuteness

Trick or Treating was a blast. The boys looked more than adorable. See for yourself. I got a couple great pics.

November already! I'm not ready! Here of course is this last month's digital calendar. I have to start working on November's.

I think I did well on my art history test. I won't find out today I doubt. She probably won't give them back for at least another week. Maybe even two. She has a couple more classes and they were all hand written so... I'm sure she has her work cut out for her. But still. I WANT MINE BACK! I know I got 3 dates wrong and one title of a work wrong. What she marks off on my paragraphs about the works of art is up to her. Thats what stinks. Its kinda subjective.

I also wanted to show you my painting number three that will be turned into today finally. Its pretty much finished. It could use a little tweek here or there, but overall its done. Its difficult to get a good pic of it.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. Happy All Saints Day!
